Within Naples Pass you have access to excavations of Pompeii for free.

Please Note:

1. Yes, starting from November 15, 2024, access to the Pompeii Archaeological Park will be nominal and subject to verification of an identity document.
2. Access to the Suburban Villas ( Ville dei Misteri + Villa di Diomede + Villa Regina and Antiquarium in Boscoreale )  is no longer included in the Pass. You can access them with an additional ticket for €8 - payment by card only - directly at the beginning of the route at the entrance to the Gate of Herculaneum - Via delle Tombe. Important: Access to the Suburban Villas cannot be purchased individually, but only as an additional ticket. 

Within Naples Pass you have access to National Archaeological Museum of Naples "The Mann" for free.

With this ticket you have access to the Vesuvius Express bus and Vesuvius Park. Departure is from Herculaneum Station and includes a round trip. 

You will have the opportunity to explore up close the crater and park of Vesuvius, the volcano that dominates Naples and its entire territory. In a fun scenic climb, you will observe the lunar beauty of this timeless landscape.

You'll stroll through the park's pine forests, observe the lava left intact from the last eruption in 1914, and be breathless as you come within a breath of the crater. What's more, you'll have the convenience of having transportation service included. From Herculaneum you will get to the crater by Vesuvius Express, the fastest and easiest way. 


Tips:
Remember to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing, temperatures tend to be low at that altitude. 

Instructions:       
- Show the voucher you will receive via email at the departure point outside the Herculaneum Excavation Station
- Recognize the Vesuvio Express bus.

This ticket is valid for all urban public transport in the Naples metropolitan area, including:


- Metro lines 1, 2 (only the Bagnoli–San Giovanni section), and 6
- Funiculars (Centrale, Chiaia, Mergellina, Montesanto)
- Urban trams and buses operated by ANM
- EAV lines (Cumana, Circumflegrea, and Circumvesuviana) within the Municipality of Naples


Please note: On Line 2, the Naples Pass only covers the Bagnoli–San Giovanni section (a metropolitan rail service operated by Trenitalia). For travel on other sections outside the city of Naples, a separate Trenitalia regional ticket is required.

This ticket allows you to travel conveniently across different operators using a single QR code, making your stay in Naples easier and more practical.


Travel Without Worries

Getting around Naples by public transport can sometimes be complicated: each operator requires a separate ticket, and ticket machines or sales points are not always open. By adding the “unlimited transport” option to your Naples Pass, you can manage everything directly from the app, avoiding unnecessary hassle during your visit.


Useful Information
- The ticket must be validated at the start of the first trip and each time you board a new vehicle.
- It is valid until midnight (24:00) on the day of the first validation.
- The pass allows unlimited travel within the Naples urban area. You can view the validity area map here.


Important
- If you use the ticket multiple times, you may need to refresh the QR code. We recommend refreshing it before entering stations with poor internet coverage, such as Toledo station (Metro Line 1).

Refresh the ticket before going underground and approaching the turnstiles.
If the validation devices are broken or missing, please contact the inspector immediately.

Enhance your visit by purchasing a round-trip transfer to Pompeii. Depart from Naples and reach Pompeii using your Naples Pass.

The ticket is valid for travel with:

- The Circumvesuviana train, departing from Platform 3 at Naples Piazza Garibaldi Circumvesuviana Station.

- The Naples - Pompeii train operated by Trenitalia, departing from Naples Piazza Garibaldi Station.

Note: The ticket is not valid for:

- The Campania Express train

ATTENTION:

Between uses of the ticket, you may need to update the QR code. Some underground stations (such as Toledo station on Metro Line 1) have poor internet connectivity. Therefore, it is advisable to update the ticket before going underground and approaching the turnstile.

The ticket is valid for 140 minutes from the first validation, which must occur at the start of the journey. During this time, you can make unlimited transfers with one or more transport companies, as long as you stay within the specified area and time. After 140 minutes, the ticket is no longer valid.

In extra-urban areas, the ticket allows for one trip from the origin municipality to the destination municipality (or vice versa). Within the same origin and destination municipality, you can make unlimited bus trips but only one trip on each rail vehicle.
